Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips. –Proverbs 27:2

Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied. –Proverbs 27:20

He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. –Proverbs 28:13

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us. –1 John 1:8-10

My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
And He is propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. –1 John 2:1-2

For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. –1 John 2:16-17

Praying the world will read God's Word for themselves, and not rely on what someone else tells them His Word says or means.

  1. Proverbs 27:2 is such an important one to remember. It’s so easy for us to be prideful and boast about the good things we’ve done. But it says in 1 Corinthians 10:31 that we are to do all things for the glory of God! We’re so quick to be led astray. I am thankful for the Lord’s grace and forgiveness. ❤

    1. Amen Maggie, this is so true. God deserves the glory :) That’s what sometimes is forgotten, He deserves it!! Being lead astray, well we are human :) but I do know that as I get older, and stronger in His word, fall more in love with Him everyday(which everyday I think I can’t love Him any more but tomorrow there it is, more love for Him) that I am not swayed as much, and therefore led astray. I say as much because it does still happen, just not as much, less frequent and it’s not in the HUGE ways it use to be, catching it quicker and get back on that happy path :)

      1. Yes! He deserves all the praise we can ever offer Him, and infinitely more. ❤ Same here; every day, my love for Him grows stronger. 😊 I’m always learning to trust in Him more. Through everything I go through, He draws me closer.
