Liebster Award

liebster-awardViking over at Viking Reviews nominated me for The Liebster Award. When I started the blog I intended it to be for God’s Word and about God’s Word but there are so many great bloggers out there that I felt rude not doing the awards these kind bloggers are nominating me for.

I recently started reading Viking Reviews. I don’t know if Viking found me, or vice versa but I feel you will enjoy it. The tag reads “Book reviews and other Gibberish” LOL What’s not to like :) Viking actually got 100 followers in something like 4 days, WOW! Lets help make it another 100 in 4 days :)

Viking said:

There are a few different versions of the rules for the award, but Viking got the following:
1. Acknowledge the blog who nominated you and display the award.
2. Answer the 11 questions the blogger gives you. (Viking got given only 4, but gave us 7)
3. Give 11 random facts about yourself.
4. Nominate 11 blogs.
5. Give them 11 questions to answer. (I will be only giving 1 question)
6. Notify those blogs of the nomination.

The questions Viking gave us:

What accomplishments are you most proud of? Reading my Bible every day

Who or what motivates you, to do what you do? Um LOL God :)

What kind of music do you listen to? I love all music and listen to all genres

What is the most beautiful place you have ever been to? Here where I live, well before it got overdeveloped :)

What are you wishes/dreams? To be the person God wants me to be

Do you feel like a leader or a follower? I follow God but nothing else

If you had a brainwashing machine, who would you use it on? I wouldn’t want to brainwash anyone but if I could convince everyone of something it would be people who think that God couldn’t love them because of things they have done, that He loves them no matter what, which I didn’t believe. I was rotten but then I read Romans 8:38-39 and it changed my life :)

Random facts about me:

  1. I could stay home all the time and be happy with that choice.
  2. I want to go to Fiji
  3. I keep a heating throw on my ottoman and use it year round, even when it’s 90 degrees out
  4. I love getting mail :)
  5. I don’t use a computer for much of anything, except wordpress and stalking items I’m waiting to go on sale
  6. I learned how to drive when I was 12
  7. I buy 2 of everything
  8. I have no depth perception.
  9. I don’t like dark chocolate
  10. I don’t wear makeup
  11. I talk to God all day long about everything :)

I only have one question:

If you could ask God for anything, what would it be?

I nominate any one who wants to participate :)  I feel you are all worthy my friends, and would love to know what question you would like to ask God :):)

Thanks again Viking for the nomination. I pray everyone pays Viking Reviews a visit.

  1. Congrats on your nomination! I loved reading your answers; I could use an electric blanket in the heat too, haha. Actually my car has heated seats and I probably use them year round. Snail mail is the absolute best! The art of letter writing can never die. :)

  3. Congratulations Margret. Enjoyed reading your answers and getting to know you more. I am not a fan of chocolates though I take once in a while. You can send me a pack of chocolate and it will be in my refrigerator for a long time but trust my kids… They will help me eat it!

    1. Thank you Charlene as always you are so kind to me :) I know you follow our Lord, you are a good child of God :) It is as clear as the nose on my face :) You always give Him the glory He deserves. I am so sorry about the chocolate, funny how things react to different people.

  4. Congrats on the award, Margaret! <3 I loved reading your answers. Your answer to the brainwash question (haha) is beautiful!! The day I read the 8th chapter of Romans changed my life, too – especially the 11th verse. There's something so powerful about that chapter; I love it so much, and always find myself returning to it. I'm going to go visit Viking's blog! I hadn't heard of it before :)

    1. I just started Romans. I’ll be reading chapter 7 and 8 tomorrow :) so I am sure that verse 38 and 39 will be posted. :) Yes, how exciting His Spirit lives in us, that He would think us worthy to live in us :) I am sure you will like Vikings site he does book reviews, and other stuff but since you like reading books you will enjoy it. :) Thank you Maggie for always being so supportive. You are the sweetest person and it is very much appreciated. :)

  5. I loved your answers, Margaret. This part is my favorite:

“God couldn’t love them because of things they have done, that He loves them no matter what, which I didn’t believe. I was rotten but then I read Romans 8:38-39 and it changed my life :)”

I agree 100%. I think many people believe that there is no hope for them. God loves everyone.

You asked a hard question. I need time to think about that! Luckily, I feel like I ask him many questions every day when I pray. I don’t always get my answers right away, but I get them with time.

    1. I’m glad you see that too. I found the more I read my Bible the more I thought, well, I’m not savable, I have done ALL the things I shouldn’t have. I’m glad He kept pushing me to read because when I found that verse, that NOTHING could separate me from God’s love, not even angels, wow, what a game changer.

LOL sorry about the hard question :) That’s why I figured I’d just ask one :):)

Thanks for sharing Ipuna, it’s always a pleasure to see you :):)

      1. I love your story. I actually have seen this type of feeling often when I worked in the PedsER. I actually have felt not worthy at one point in my life. My character in my book that I’m hoping to publish feels that way, and I show her struggle to find the light in her life when she doesn’t feel good enough.

      2. Thank you Ipuna. I feel bad taking credit for that story, I feel it’s His story. I am just the main character :) I can’t wait for your book to be published. Still thanking God for that right publisher and your book being printed for all to read :)

  6. Amen Lee, what a great business card! He must love us the way we are, He made us :) If He had wanted us to be perfect, He would have made us perfect. It is certainly within His power to do so :)

Beautiful request of Him, Lee. I appreciate you sharing that :)
