This verse has taught me so much in so few words… contentment is a choice, a surrender, of sorts, to where God has me. I choose contentment, I choose joy… not because it is my choice, but because it is God’s, and HE does all things well. Thank you for ministering to my soul!
You are MOST welcome and THAT blesses me… only God can use us just by being ourselves and sharing what He is teaching us! He truly is the GREATEST! ☝🏻✝️🎉
It sure is Wally. It’s the contentment I was fascinated with, why I found it so hard to be content. Now, I am, but for most of my life I wasn’t, baffles me. God Bless you Wally, it’s good to see you :)
Thanks, Margaret! My routine got thrown off, and I got a bit behind on reading and stuff! I get what you mean about contentment for sure. I spent decades wallowing in constant discontent, and that changed almost instantly when I was saved. Even in things I don’t like much, I find myself able to be content with them, if that makes sense.
We live in a busy world run by power hungry and greedy people. We’re taught to reach for more and more. If I continued to listen to the world, I would definitely not be content! But I’m old and it didn’t come easy for me either!!

I don’t know who is doing the ministering because your comment had a lot of nourishment in it :):) Thank you :)

Amen! When we’re content we do not want/lack.

Exactly Muse. For me it was my lack of achieving it :):) I realized it is a choice :) Much, much happier now.

It makes perfect sense, I feel the same way. Glad to have you back. Seems like everyone, including myself have been off our routines lately.

Contentment – – that is where we must find ourselves!

Why is contentment is so hard, Jo Ann? I feel like I am there now but for decades contentment was a foreign country to me.
