I love this reminder from Genesis that the earth was corrupt before God. I find it such a relief that we aren’t expected to fix eternal problems, we’re just expected to love and forgive. Amen to that.

Yes, for sure E. It also shows us that when we hear, “the world is getting bad” great examples that nah we haven’t changed, and God was still willing to give us salvation. With all our “advancements” we human beings haven’t changed much.:):)

I honestly don’t know how we humans can forget the wrongs we’ve suffered. The recent dinner with Kevin showed me I have the forgiving thing going but I can’t forget the events. It’s the same with other things. I’m not angry about them any more but I remember them.

I agree Elizabeth, and I don’t think we can completely forget in the sense of never to be remembered again. It’s the remembering and still having those resentful, angry feelings. If that makes sense.

Matthew 6:15 tell and show us how important it is to forgive; yet, people fail to apply this aspect in their life. Some forgive, but never forget and they wonder why they’re constantly bitter. I’ve seen it too many times. And you’ve blessed me with a beautiful and tranquil photo this morning. :)

I know especially when it says, “neither will your Father forgive your trespasses” So, it seems if we truly WANT forgiveness then we HAVE to forgive(and forget) And you are absolutely right if we don’t it just fills us with bitterness. These scriptures also sound like the world today doesn’t it? I’m so thankful He corrects us when we fall short and puts us back on the straight and narrow path. I love Him so much! All the praise and glory to our God!

Yes it does. When people say this world is getting so bad, I always say, have you read the Bible? We haven’t changed much since the beginning of our creation. It is hard to believe that in Noah’s day man was more evil than today. I do believe that the water, wind, and fire will either bring out the best of us or the worst.

hahah I know Jo Ann, I was reading that thinking, wait a minute, we are 6 chapters in, ONLY 6 chapters, and we are already so corrupt, evil, and violent that it grieved God at His heart for even making us, and wiped us out. 6 chapters, page 9 in my Bible and it has 1918 pages. We made it to page 9. Even after that flood, we, well, didn’t change much.
