Saying let us alone; what have we to do with Thee, Thou Jesus of Nazareth? art Thou come to destroy us? I know Thee who Thou art, the Holy One of God. –Mark 1:24
When Jesus heard it, He saith unto them, They that are whole have no need for the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. –Mark 2:17
Hey! Good mornin!
When I was readin your Mark 1.24 reference, I was thinkin, that’s unusual, let me look that up real quick.
Look at the spellin of the first word. (that’s the “down home” translation). 😃😃😃

I love how Jesus likened being a sinner to being sick. It puts it in a way people can understand and it shows us how, without Him, we’ll suffer the ultimate death.

Yes Elizabeth. He knew down the road, folks that are not as quick to catch on to things(like me hahaha) would need it as simple as possible :):) Plus, let’s face it, us fleshy humans can pretty much take anything, and turn it into something else, He knew this too, so simple is the best way to go :):):)

Oh, we’re famous for changing the meaning of things or misinterpreting. I really liked this post of yours. Of course I like them all!

What’s not to like :) They are Bible verses :) I am just typing up(not much skill needed ;)) “quotes” from the best selling Book of all time :):) AND!!!!!!! We know the Author ;) How miraculous is that? I bet you and me both talk to Him at least a dozen times a day :):) Every body who is reading this does too! I don’t know how He does it all, Elizabeth :):)
Not to change the subject, but I will ;) The picture with the puppy, captioned something like, “if you make me get down, I’ll tell people you beat me” is still cracking me up. That picture and that caption was priceless. Thank you :)

That’s our Henry sleeping with his daddy. Henry thinks he’s very sneaky about getting on the bed.

hahaha, like he is invisible. I love how it seems(probably just in my mind) but seems like Mr. C and Henry think they are getting something over, on somebody. hahaha.

Oh, you should see how they fool me at night! LOL I have no idea at all Henry is walking up the edge of the bed or that his daddy is lifting the blankets for him. They’re like ninjas. At least in their minds!

Jesus came to set the captives free. And we all do need his touch in various aspects of our lives. Great to know that we can be free in him.

Amen and your words about Jesus are beautiful, and true :):) God bless you.

The logic behind His words is so obvious it’s astounding. Just makes sense, doesn’t it ? He gives us such a sound persepctive on life.

The logic is there once I understand it hahaha. I’m not the brightest candle on the cake so it takes me a bit longer. But I have learned more from reading my Bible than I have learned from ALL the conversations I have ever had about the Bible, or God. His Word reveals all. When we need it, and are strong enough to know it. God Bless you Chris :):)

Of course he does, he knows how this story ends, and he doesn’t win. The amazing part to me, or mind baffling, how ever you want to put it, the unclean spirits ALWAYS recognized Jesus and knew Him. Us people, that He came to save, and we didn’t know or recognize, and even when He did miracles, He was still doubted, but not by the unclean spirits. They knew and feared Him, as soon as they saw Him.

Yes, it really boggles my mind how some people do not believe. I don’t know how some make it through the day without him!!

He is with them, Thanking Him for always being with me :) We are so blessed that no matter how lost, blind, whatever you want to call it, He never leaves us. He is ever present. I pause and think about how much stuff I would have never done if I had thought about how He is standing right there. He is watching, has always watched everything. He’s heard it all, all my thoughts, witnessed all. Everything I said, did, thought. I try to think of this now before I act. Thank you Jo Ann for this wonderful conversation. This was like a good day at church :):):) Very nourishing :)

Yes, He is with them, they are just blind to His presence! If they would just turn around, pause, and seek Him, they would know that He is closer than their next breath!
