Hmm ….wow! Well this is hard lol ….hmmmm…wow Magz! Where’d you pull this one from? š..I’ll say both! Because the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and falling in love with Jesus is the BEST I’ve ever done. So there you have it lol šš God bless! Xxoo

Well, that is DIFFICULT! I think my they’re about the same, but my fear of God is just a tiny bit more than my love for Jesus.

Wow Margret I am caught I’m between the two… I believe both are equally important. Starting out with the fear of God and loving Jesus. But then I believe loving the Lord helps to be obedient and reverence him more.

Ohh! Awesome question! I believe I had to fear God and submit to His authority before I could understand His love for me. So for me, the fear of God was essential for understanding how much of a gift His mercy is because of how much He loves me. It is an interesting, complex question.

There are biblical passages that command us to do both – FULLY. These are commands and not suggestions, so we should always strive to do both, as faithfully as we can.
However, if I *had* to choose, Iād select fear (by a hair). After all, if I love Jesus but do not possess a well-informed and reverential fear of Him as well (the book of Revelation is important to bear in mind here), then that love – while genuine and heartfelt – fundamentally lacks a certain depth.
My $.02! āļøš

Love for Jesus. I like to think God as a loving father.

Whoa, what a question! I would have to say both equally.

Perfect love casts out fear. Originally I feared His just wrath when I answered His call to salvation. But now that I’m born again, I don’t walk as a Christian in such a way that my behavior is controlled by fear. I know that now I’m His beloved child.
But…the reality of fearing God in my accountability in how I represent Him in my messages is a constant part of my consciousness. I take very seriously how I represent His word. I’ve deleted lots of my posts for example that wasn’t quite right, or I was unsure of. Because I’m going to have to give an account for what I’ve been given and how I used it. Especially in my representation of God’s message to humanity.
So I don’t know that I have an answer to your profound and interesting question. š

I would say both equally, one hinges on the other. So I would say both are key in my life !!

Love for God is greater!! Because where there is fear there is no place for love. God is our parent who always wants his child to be happy

What a profound question! I guess I would have to say that as i fear, have reference for God, my love for Jesus would increase as well. Is that against the rules? šš

Not at all Jo Ann :):) there are no rules, as I feel there are no wrong answers. My hope is for people to learn from their Brothers and Sisters :):)
