These are great verses Margaret. When we are haughty and prideful, we distance ourselves from God because we believe that we don’t need God; however, if we humble ourselves under God’s Hand. He will exalt us above those who are prideful and arrogant.
But it’s human nature to be arrogant and prideful, but if we let the “I” within us die; we will begin to see ourselves bear fruits of humility and patience to those around us. There is a sermon on YouTube by Pastor Robert Madu about our “I” problem.
If you would like to check it out; the links to the 2 parts are below.

That’s is beautifully put God’s Warrior, and so true. We have to put “self” to rest, and thrive in God’s will. I would love to check out the videos. I will do it as soon as I am able. It’s great seeing you, thank you for taking the time to share with us your thoughts. They are always welcome here :):) God Bless you :):)

One of my favorite worship songs has a repeated chorus about exalting god; something about singing it feels like meditating and always gives me the Holy Spirit chills. Happy Monday Margaret ❤️
