The Challenge question on The Word is:

After God, and the Bible, what other sources give you spiritual inspiration?

Thank you for participating. God Bless you :)

Praying the world will read God's Word for themselves, and not rely on what someone else tells them His Word says or means.

  1. Good question, Margaret. For me, other sources besides God and the Bible that give me spiritual inspiration are books; specifically books on leadership.

I currently have 2 leadership books by Pastor Dewayne Freeman and one book on “Opening the Door to Your Future” by former LFCC Pastor Lamont McLean.

  2. I was asked the same question by my philosophy teacher once and I honestly couldn’t think of the right answer however, I think my other sources are I see how He works on my life and the others and by testimonies– they surely help a LOT!

  3. I learn a lot from good, Bible-based teaching/podcasts. I also gain great perspective on things simply by going to the ocean and observing the waves in action – it’s very calming! πŸ™‚

  4. Nature! We live in Arizona, so we hike a lot. We did a 3500 foot elevation hike, it was hard! But when we got to the top, you could see all of Phoenix, and other cities. It was so beautiful, and I thought, ‘Wow, God created such a wonderful world. He made such beautiful things!’ Taking the time to appreciate nature is what gives me spiritual inspiration!

  5. My anam cara, my soul friend and love of my life, is my next greatest spiritual inspiration. God blesses me beyond words through her. He reveals a small glimpse of His vast love through a worldly love beyond my imagination. He teaches me so much and makes me a better man through her. I will never be able to fully express my gratitude for what He has done for me … But I suppose that is kind of the way He works, isn’t it? He gives us such grace and love in so many ways. But, I sure am eternally grateful for this one, my beautiful sweet pea.

  6. When God speaks to me directly. Jesus said my sheep know my voice and come at my call. God is always speaking but we are not always listening. He is our personal intimate Father and loves to speak to his children.
