If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. — 2 Chronicles 7:14

My people hath been lost sheep: their shepherds have cause them to go astray, they have turned them away on the mountains: they have gone from mountain to hill, they have forgotten their restingplace. — Jeremiah 50:6

Praying the world will read God's Word for themselves, and not rely on what someone else tells them His Word says or means.

  1. It has always been easy for mankind to drift away from God. We all need to add Bible reading and thoughts of God to our daily lives.

  2. 2 Chronicles 7:14 shows how easy it is for us (as a nation) to come to God seeking forgiveness. Why don’t we do it? We’re hard headed/heart people.

    1. Yes we are, I am not casting stones because I am as hard headed as the next. If we would just do it but apparently we have been struggling to turn to Him for thousands of years, since this wasn’t written yesterday :):) One day, LORD willing we will learn, and turn to Him. Praise God it would be glorious!

    1. I so agree, and both of these verses seem to pair well in describing our world. Which is good, but still unfortunate because it just shows that we haven’t changed very much since these words were written. But there is hope for with God all things are possible.
