Now is the time…

Now is always a good time to praise the LORD. When everything is going wrong is the BEST time to praise the LORD.

Is now a good time? Praise the LORD.

Is now a bad time? Praise the LORD.

We can do so, and watch how miraculously our situation changes :)

Give it a try, and see how it works out for you :)

  1. Amen!! :)

This reminds me of Job. After receiving the news that he had lost everything, “Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped…” (Job 1:40) He worshipped! And after that, he said, “the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.” (Job 1:21) No matter the circumstances – Blessed be the name of the Lord! <3 It isn't always easy though; it's so much easier to focus on the circumstances.

    1. Praise God what wonderful additions Grace :) :) Yes, it is so much easier, why I don’t know because the blessings, and rewards from God far outweigh the circumstances. But I am sure you can see from the comments, I was not practicing what I wrote in this post. It was something I had typed up about a month ago. The day I posted it. I was not being thankful at all. I was downright foul :)

      1. :) Amen to that – the blessings and rewards do indeed outweigh the circumstances. :)

I just looked at the other comments. I’m glad that He used this post to help you. :D He is so good. <3

Also, hope that the storm clean up is going okay. (If it's too personal, please don't feel like you have to answer. Was it Florence? I didn't remember where you lived, haha.)

      2. Such is life. We’re still being told it will be several weeks before the repairs can even begin because there was so much damage from florence to so many people, and now Michael is coming. It’s not going to be any where near as strong as Florence. The concerns are that with everyone already having weaken structures, the damaged trees, and infrastructure etc. that any storm won’t be good. So please pray for everyone.

      1. We have these little angry moments that reminds us that we’re only human. I’m glad this draft came in the perfect timing.

  2. Amen! Sometimes I feel mad and angry at everyone around me. Sometimes, even at God. But when I talk to Him, it’s like peace washes over me. Getting angry doesn’t do anything except make the situation worse, but talking to Him makes the situation better.

    1. Absolutely Eva. I was there yesterday. Just mad, mad, mad. It wasn’t until we started helping our neighbour clear the downed trees in her yard that I started feeling peace. I was praying the whole time because I couldn’t figure out where all that anger was coming from. God is good to bring relief. Praise God. Thank you for your honest comment. It will help more people than you even know.

    1. Exactly! Now, if I can get this perfected. I was in a grumbling, murmuring mood yesterday. Nothing seemed to go right and I was in the foulest mood ever about it. Then we went next door to help a neighbor clear downed trees. I kept repeating Lord, please help me be kind, and joyful. Later in the evening, I opened the blog, and this was in my drafts. I had written it months ago. I guess the LORD knew I would need it :)

    1. This is the other comment I was talking about that ended up in my spam folder Warren, again my apologies. I usually check that folder everyday so this doesn’t happen but my mind has been wrapped up with dealing with the clean up after this storm, and dealing with insurance companies, and adjusters.

Yes they should always be on our lips but I have been falling short on this, especially on the day I posted this. I was especially foul this day, and when I logged into my wordpress this post that I had typed up over a month ago jumped right out at me. The LORD was snatching me back to the path He prefers, for sure :)
