Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! — James 3:5

But the tongue can no man tame: it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. — James 3:8

Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. — James 3:9

Out of the same mouth preceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. — James 3:10

But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. — James 1:14

Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts? — James 2:4

For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. — James 2:10

Now What?

Yesterday, I talked about 1 Simple Step That Can Save Your Life, now what?

A walk with God is not this burdensome path up the highest mountain you can think of, God wants you to be happy. God knows we are human and knowing us better than anyone, since He did create us. He made it as simple, for us, as possible.

20170513_103350Here are some ways, that have made my walk with Jesus and God, not such an ordeal, but the joyous, full of blessings journey, He intended it to be.

1. Accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. I explained how simple that was yesterday in 1 Simple Step. Here’s what God’s words says about this: “That if they shalt confess with thy mouth The Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Romans 10:9 His Word also says that there is no way to the Father except through the Son.

20170516_1349322. Pray/Talk to God. Prayer and talking to God is a big part of getting to know yourself better and God. He loves hearing from us. Tell Him everything, He already knows it because He knows our thoughts before we have them, so we don’t have to hold back. He loves us so much that even when we don’t know what or how to pray for something His Holy Spirit that lives within us prays for us. Now, that’s love.

3. Read my Bible. It is God talking to you. It’s not some secret map that we need a decoder ring to decipher. God will reveal to us what He wants us to learn, as He knows we are ready to learn it. Don’t rely on what someone tells you it says or what verses mean. God will do that the more we read our Bible.

20170514_1438464. Remember no matter what you do, there is nothing that can separate you from God’s Love or youI mess up daily. I use to feel like such a failure, that God was just going to give up on me and He should, what a mess. I was hopeless. Try as I might I’d always mess up. But His word says, “For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39

5. Let God guide you. Don’t ever let anyone tell you how you should love, serve, listen, pray, follow, believe, etc, in God. He will lead you the way He wants you to go. Follow that, all of our walks with God are unique. Follow the walk He wants you to take, the way He wants you to take it, not the way anyone else wants or thinks you should.

So, once again, easy, simple things. I pray, you found something that might help you get closer to God because He is close to you, waiting for you.

Therefore now, O LORD, take, I beseech Thee, my life from me; for it is better for me to die than to live. — Jonah 4:3

Then said the LORD, Doest thou well to be angry? — Jonah 4:4

I think we have all been here. Life adds up sometimes, doesn’t it? Things get piled up, and we get buried. God of course, is always right :) Anger does nothing but adds more to the pile. It will actually magnify, and increase that mound we feel we are under. Trust that God has a plan. We may not see it, we may not understand it but His plan is in action, and He will work it out.

1 Simple Step That Can Save Your Life

The 1 simple, easy step that can save your life is to believe in Jesus Christ. It says so right there in Romans 10:9 to be exact(among other places in the Bible), true story, look it up.

Ok, but how do I do that, you ask?

Well, right in the back of my Bible there is a prayer. When you are ready to save your life, here it is, just read it:

Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and have displeased You in many ways. I believe You died for my sin and only through faith in Your death and resurrection can I be forgiven.

I want to turn from my sin and ask You to come into my life as my Savior and Lord. From this day on, I will follow You by living a life that pleases You. Thank You, Lord Jesus for saving me. Amen

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. — Hebrews 13:5

By Him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name. — Hebrews 13:15

But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. — Hebrews 13:16

Why do we envy others, possessions and things, when we have all we need? Which is God. Never forget to praise God always, everyday, in everything because by doing so we are giving Him the sweet sacrifice that He loves.

And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and He heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and Thou heardest my voice. — Jonah 2:2

I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about me for ever: yet hast Thou brought up my life from corruption, O LORD my God. — Jonah 2:6

But I will sacrifice unto Thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD. — Jonah 2:9

No matter where we are in life, physically or mentally. God is with us. No matter how deep in despair we are, or how corrupt our lives may be, God is with us. There is nowhere above, below, or beyond the reach of the Almighty living God. If we cry out to Him, He hears our cries, and He will save us.

Praise Him, and thank God, always, for our salvation.

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. — Hebrews 12:2

For consider Him that endured such contradiction of sinners against HImself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. — Hebrews 12:3
