Therefore now, O LORD, take, I beseech Thee, my life from me; for it is better for me to die than to live. — Jonah 4:3

Then said the LORD, Doest thou well to be angry? — Jonah 4:4

I think we have all been here. Life adds up sometimes, doesn’t it? Things get piled up, and we get buried. God of course, is always right :) Anger does nothing but adds more to the pile. It will actually magnify, and increase that mound we feel we are under. Trust that God has a plan. We may not see it, we may not understand it but His plan is in action, and He will work it out.

  1. Good verses. Jonah is a powerful book on several fronts, but the one that stands out to me is God’s control over all things! I believe there’s a verse in there that say something to the effect of “and the Lord prepared a worm” (which ruined the plant providing Jonah’s shade from thr heat). God truly operates in thr DETAILS of our lives!

  2. True. I remember years ago being internally angry (I didn’t think I was angry at God but I was angry at something) and then while I was washing the dishes God said “you know you cant be angry with me”. I had to laugh.

We can be drama queens at times as well “Oh God, its not worth being alive, take my life from me now” (arm on the forhead while God plays the violin) ;-)

    Thanks for sharing

      2. Exactly! As soon as I wake on mornings, I thank Him and ask Him to give me strength to face the day.
