Yesterday, I talked about 1 Simple Step That Can Save Your Life, now what?
A walk with God is not this burdensome path up the highest mountain you can think of, God wants you to be happy. God knows we are human and knowing us better than anyone, since He did create us. He made it as simple, for us, as possible.
Here are some ways, that have made my walk with Jesus and God, not such an ordeal, but the joyous, full of blessings journey, He intended it to be.
1. Accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. I explained how simple that was yesterday in 1 Simple Step. Here’s what God’s words says about this: “That if they shalt confess with thy mouth The Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Romans 10:9 His Word also says that there is no way to the Father except through the Son.
2. Pray/Talk to God. Prayer and talking to God is a big part of getting to know yourself better and God. He loves hearing from us. Tell Him everything, He already knows it because He knows our thoughts before we have them, so we don’t have to hold back. He loves us so much that even when we don’t know what or how to pray for something His Holy Spirit that lives within us prays for us. Now, that’s love.
3. Read my Bible. It is God talking to you. It’s not some secret map that we need a decoder ring to decipher. God will reveal to us what He wants us to learn, as He knows we are ready to learn it. Don’t rely on what someone tells you it says or what verses mean. God will do that the more we read our Bible.
4. Remember no matter what you do, there is nothing that can separate you from God’s Love or you. I mess up daily. I use to feel like such a failure, that God was just going to give up on me and He should, what a mess. I was hopeless. Try as I might I’d always mess up. But His word says, “For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39
5. Let God guide you. Don’t ever let anyone tell you how you should love, serve, listen, pray, follow, believe, etc, in God. He will lead you the way He wants you to go. Follow that, all of our walks with God are unique. Follow the walk He wants you to take, the way He wants you to take it, not the way anyone else wants or thinks you should.
So, once again, easy, simple things. I pray, you found something that might help you get closer to God because He is close to you, waiting for you.

I’d love to take the credit but it all goes to God. With out Him there’d be no Bible verses, no me no blog, nothing. :):) There wouldn’t even be you here to read it, since He created us all:) Hallelujah!

Yes, and He made us all wonderfully different for a reason. So, we’d all fit together like a Divine puzzle :)

I read your blog but haven’t seen this yet. Some reader I am huh? ;) Wise words Mags. One of my favorite verses comes from doubting Thomas; split a piece of wood and you’ll find me, lift and stone and I’m there. He’s all around us.

hahaha no worries my friend, you probably read it, and just forgot. I forget things I write myself, so I know somethings I read are forgotten as well :)
Yes, all around, AND inside of us :)

What do you mean when you say God wants us to be happy?
Some good points there.
Peace to you

Thanks for the encouragement, Brother :) These have helped me, and I pray it helps someone.
I guess, I could have chosen many words, happy is the one that I felt summed it up best. I don’t feel He wants us to be unhappy :) I feel God wants us to have peace, joy, love, be content, and many other things. I picked happy as the word to use or I might have been there all day hahaha :)
It seems so much harder to explain, in type, than when I first started replying to you. So many thoughts keep coming to mind. Like being content, which I looked up the adjective definition is ” in a state of peaceful happiness” So maybe content would have been a better choice of words. Then the verses from Proverbs, and Job came to mind, and I’m going to combine them here. They are all from the KJV :)
Proverbs 3:13-18
Happy is the man that findeth wisdom(And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the LORD, that is wisdom; …this is the first part of Job 28:28) and the man that getteth understanding(and to depart from evil is understanding. That is the second part of Job 28:28) Proverb 3:13
For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. Proverbs 3:14
She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. Proverbs 3:15
Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour. Proverbs 3:16
Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. Proverbs 3:17
She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her. Proverbs 3:18
From this I feel it is telling us that we are happy if we have wisdom, and understanding, and we attain those by the fear of the LORD, and departing from evil. We will have pleasantness, paths of peace, the tree of life, and be happy :)
Wow, what a wonderful question, and I’m sorry for the long reply, and I don’t know if that even answered your question but I really enjoyed the thoughts you created in me, in the process :)
I thank the LORD for continuing to bless you :)
