Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes. — Haggai 1:6
I smote you with blasting and with mildew and with hail in all the labours of your hands; yet ye turned not to Me, saith the LORD. — Haggai 2:17
When we reply on ourselves, there will never be enough. God is everything to us and we will want no more. Beautiful verses, Margaret!

Haggai 2:17 is very similar to Zephaniah 3:7. No matter what the Lord did, the people kept ignoring Him in favor of doing their own thing just like what we’re doing now.

We are a hard headed lot, that is for sure. Even though God keeps showing us, we still make the choices that result in the things we don’t want in the end. Praise God that He is patient, and merciful. All we need to do is turn to Him, and ask. He is so quick to save us :)
