This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? — Galatians 3:2
Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? — Galatians 3:3
But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God,ย it isย evident: for, The just shall live by faith. — Galatians 3:11
For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. — Galatians 3:26
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. — Galatians 3:28

Hi miss Margaret,
I’m letting you know this out of courtesy.
You “liked” my post from today about narcissists.
But I just now whittled down the content to a fraction of the size that it was when you liked it earlier.
And with such a dramatic alteration, it’s only right to inform you that it’s not the same post that you endorsed earlier.
God bless you, and I hope that you and your husband find peace in the far away town that is so unfamiliar to y’all.

I read it a little bit ago. I stand by my “like” but as always I appreciate your honesty, and letting me know. :)

That is a pinnacle section of scripture miss Margaret.
And it requires God opening someone’s eyes for them to really see it.

I thought about you Brother when I was typing these up. If is by the LORD, and our faith, His gift that saves us. Not the law, not our works :) And yes it does take the LORD reveling it. I never thought that I could work my way into heaven BUT I did think that I had been to bad to “deserve” to go to heaven. Only God’s Word changed that :) :) I will never be worthy but God says I am deserving because of HIS gift :)

Good mornin to you from Texas miss Margaret.
I believe that your perspective is shared by a lot of us Christians. It’s hard to get our heads around the fact that we’re going to heaven, when we know that we deserve to be thrown into hell.
And incidentally,
You mentioned that you type up the verses, are you familiar with “copy & paste” to post scripture?
(Maybe you type them to help you remember them, and that’s great. I was just wondering if maybe you were typing them because you had no other option). ๐

Hahaha I know about the copy and paste but I type them for a couple of reasons. It helps me marinate in them reading them, then typing them up. I also don’t always trust anything that isn’t in my Bible. Silly I know but such is me :) But mainly because I like to read and re-read them to enjoy them, and soak them in :)
Yes, it is a trick of the old evil one that we are too far gone to be saved. It is also from reading certain verses and you think, well I’ve done that a 100 times, I am doomed BUT if we continue reading ALL of God’s Word we see that we are not. I feel that comes from constantly sticking with immersing ourselves in His Word. Through His Word, God will reveal to us that, that is simply not the case. He gave us our salvation knowing how “fleshy” we are.

A great reminder daily, lest we should think we are doing, or trying to do, the work of the spirit, without him. A dangerous place to be.
