Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: — Matthew 7:13
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. — Matthew 7:14
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. — Matthew 7:15
These verses are always with me.

That’s what happens when we are too busy with worldly things.
Because when we are passing by straight gate how will we find the narrow way?

It is no coincidence that those worldly things are so shiny, intriguing, and time consuming. All designed to distract us from the straight and narrow. TV, computers, electronic gadgets. Even items of convenience like washers and dryers, I know that sounds silly but we can throw clothes in a machine that frees up our time to do more things, usually worldly things.

I can’t tell you how profound this comment of yours is miss Margaret.
And the part about washers and dryers being contributors was especially good.
I love reading this sort of perspective, because it enhances our discernment of the world around us.
Good job.
All glory to the risen Lord Jesus Christ!

Praise the LORD for any and all things that give you anything. Especially if it comes from my general direction :) It is a blessing :)
