He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not. — John 1:10
He came into His own, and His own received Him not. — John 1:11
But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name: — John 1:12
Which were born, not of blood, not of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. — John 1:13
John 1:10-11 always saddens me, but I’m thankful that He died for our sins.

Sad and very revealing, and very telling of how we are or can be.

Those are very powerful verses.
There’s a man here on WordPress who repeatedly uses John 1.12, (“power to become sons of God”) to promote arminianism.
Ironically though, he never cites the very next verse (13).

There’s no end to them is there? 🤪
I was so motivated by the message in verse 13, that I did a post of my own today to further the broadcast of that important message.

In the New Testament all IN Christ are now the sons of God. Blessed assurance.
