Ok, so I’m reading up on my favorite blogs last night and this is what I come across.

The lovely J-Dub threw me out there with this.  I feel like I can hear her laughing right now, some where because I can barely post my stuff, and now she’s given me a task of tags (???).

She was talking about her first blog post and was kind enough to ask me to join in the fun. Now, having said that I am not good with all this technology stuff, so I’m going to give it a try :) Hopefully this turns out well…thanks Jill :)

This was the first blog post. Of course, if you’ve visited the blog you know, it’s really just Bible verses. It was an easier way for me to send them to the friends and family that wanted them, instead of sending them out in a daily text. It was posted waaaaaay, way  back on January 25, 2017. It’s ancient.

Food For Your Soul

But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine upon them. –Corinthians 4:3-4

Obvious rules:

  • No cheating. (It must be your first post. Not your second post, not one you love…first post only.)
  • Link back to the person who tagged you (a HUGE thank you to J-Dub )

Other rules:

  • Copy and paste your old post into a new post or reblog it. (Either way is fine but NO editing.) (✔️)
Put the hashtag #MyFirstPostRevisited in your title. (✔️)
  • Tag five other bloggers to take up this challenge. (✔️)
  • Notify your tags in the comment section of their blog (don’t just hope they notice a pingback somewhere in their spam).
  • Feel free to cut and paste the badge to use in your post.
  • Include the rules in your post. (✔️)

I am NOT ashamed to say this only took me HOURS :)

Now, to pass the baton to 5 others. I hope:
Dreaming of Guatemala
Eccentric Muse
USA Through Our Eyes
Pink for Days
Living Lighter In Atlanta
will join me in this fun trip down blog memory lane :)

God Bless you :)

I am a sinner…

I am a sinner. I am not without blemish, nor will I ever be without blemish until the day I die. I try to do that which is pleasing to God but I will always fall short of His glory. ( For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; –Roman 3:23)

I am the least of His children, but God loves me. He helps me. He blesses me. God wants me to be happy. He wants me to come to Him, in times of joy, times of praise, times of hardship and in times of need.

Often people will say, you shouldn’t hang around this person, or that person because they are a sinner.

Didn’t Jesus hang around with the sinners?

I mean, wasn’t it the scribes and pharisees who said, “How is it that He eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners?”

But when Jesus heard that, He said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. –Matthew 9:12-13 (also see Mark 2:17 and Luke 5:31-32)

I am a sinner but God will never turn me away, never stop listening to me, never forget me, never abandon me. I am not special, God does the same thing for you. He promised, and unlike us, He is incapable of telling a lie.

Consider the work of God: for who can make that straight, which He hath made crooked? –Ecclesiastes 7:13

For there is not a just man upon the earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not. –Ecclesiastes 7:20

For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. –Revelation 7:17

And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound! –Revelation 8:13

When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for He hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which you have vowed.
Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay it. –Ecclesiastes 5:4-5

For the great day of His wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand. — Revelation 6:17

There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside Thee: neither is there any rock like our God. –1 Samuel 2:2

I know that whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before Him. –Ecclesiastes 3:14

Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. –Revelation 3:11

I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of My mouth. –Revelation 3:15-16

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore and repent. –Revelation 3:19

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for Thou hast created all things, and for Thy pleasure they are and were created. –Revelation 4:11

Like a Dove

When did Your love for me first start?
Was it with the first beat of my heart?
Maybe before I was even conceived?
Knowing one day that I’d truly believe?
Keeping me always close in Your sight
Your Word like a beacon of bright shining light
Unimaginable are the depths of Gods love
Setting me free to fly like a dove

The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun. –Ecclesiastes 1:9

I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold,  all is vanity and vexation of spirit. –Ecclesiastes 1:14

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. –Revelation 1:8

I am He that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. –Revelation 1:18

Every word of God is pure: He is a shield unto them that put their trust in Him. –Proverbs 30:5

He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. –1 John 4:8

Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. –1 John 4:15

If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? –1 John 4:20

Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips. –Proverbs 27:2

Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied. –Proverbs 27:20

He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. –Proverbs 28:13

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us. –1 John 1:8-10

My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
And He is propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. –1 John 2:1-2

For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. –1 John 2:16-17
