1 Grateful Person Tag

Thank you sweet Gail over at Gail Loves God for nominating me for this 1 Grateful Person tag. I know that I try to be grateful but fail as much as I succeed. BUT I am grateful that the succeeds are starting to outweigh the fails. Praise the LORD. Thank you again Gail for thinking of me :)

Here are the rules:

The 1 Grateful Person Tag is based on Luke 19 and the account of Jesus with the 1 out ten lepers he healed who came back thank him. Let us aspire to be like the 1 who thanked Jesus and not the 9 who did not.

1- Share what you are grateful to Jesus for.

2-Share a passage from the bible about gratitude that means something to you.

3- Tag whoever you wish to.

4- Please share a link to my original post. 1 Grateful Person

5- Use any picture in your post that expresses gratitude.

6. Share the intro

Intro: (I think this is the intro. I wasn’t sure so if it’s not someone, anyone please feel free to correct me :) )

Jesus expressed his dismay over the lack of gratitude by 9 lepers he healed in Luke 17:

“Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee. As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distance and called out in a loud voice, “Jesus, Master, have pity on us!”

“When he saw them, he said, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed.”

“One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him—and he was a Samaritan”

“Jesus asked, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner?” Then he said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well.”

What am I grateful for? Well, my oh my, what am I not grateful for? I mean, what good does it be to be ungrateful? Does it make us feel better? No. How about mad at our circumstances? No, not any better. Grumbling/complaining about things, oh my favourite route :) but nope, doesn’t make it better in any shape or form.

The only true happiness is to be grateful. That gratefulness turns to peace, happiness, contentment.

A verse that shows gratitude….another tough one because don’t they pretty much all show gratitude, even the convicting ones? You know the ones that we might not particularly like at first because it steps all over our toes :)

But how about this one “But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” — 1 Corinthians 15:57 Does this one really need any explaination? :)

I am using this as my picture of gratitude because this is the last time I remember being so effortlessly grateful. Grateful without trying, nothing could break it. Laying there on that beach just praising the LORD in my head, effortlessly. The way it should be, everyday, no matter what the circumstances.

Ok, Gail I am not sure if I did the tag properly but I am grateful that you thought of me :)

LORD, thank You for blessing every one reading this :)

Bloggers Support Bloggers

bloggers support bloggers buttonJirah Merizz tagged me for this Bloggers Support Bloggers Challenge. #bloggerssupportbloggers. I do apologize to you Jirah. I am usually very prompt with such things but y’all know I have not been feeling the best in the word. I also want to apologize to my blogging family because I have not been as visible, or vocal in commenting. My immune system is giving me a fit. I am exhausted 90% of the time, the other 10% I am trying to catch up on life duties, family matters, chores, etc. Some days I can barely put sentences together BUT God is good, and has this, and me. Praise God! The blog, and all of you have been neglected. For that I am truly sorry. I miss all of you, and your blogs. The encouragement, your adventures, and inspiration.

Ok, back to the task at hand. Jirah was kind enough to challenge me to spread some love to our blogging family, with this Bloggers Support Bloggers Challenge. Sunshine Nordic Little Thoughts

img_0620Ray at raynotbradbury.com nominated me for this Sunshine Nordic Little Thoughts award/challenge/tag. I wasn’t quite sure which it is but I’ll give it a try. I didn’t know what to do but Ray said to read the thought, and write “your 3 associations (what comes on your mind when you read it) ” I love Ray.  She is very creative, witty, kind, and writes about a variety of subjects. Ray is quite talented, and has always been so very nice to me :) If you haven’t visited Ray’s blog, you really should, you will enjoy it.

The rules are simple:

Here’s the thought:

“When I can’t see myself in the mirror, I can’t even feel myself, and I begin to wonder if I exist at all.”

Give me your first 3 associations 🙂 and be creative (a poem, a flash story… a photo?).

  1. LORD, thank You for giving me other things to contemplate :)
  2. You existed Jean-Paul, I am reading your words.
  3. I can always see myself, with or without a mirror, I can always feel myself, and if I am wondering then that is a cogent indicator that I exist :):)

Ok Ray, I hope I didn’t mess that up :):) Thanks again for thinking of me :):)

God, I ask You to bless everyone who is reading this :)
